ultimately eatting disorders are about control when u feel a lack of control for everything in yo0ur life (typicaly parents telling you who you shouold be what you should do) you control the only theing you can..what you eat
by giving up all need for control all need to please others to be good enough for others and just let your hair do asit pleases its like very deep therapy
the more 'your hair looks ugly' vcomments you get the more beautiful you feel inside and the more sure off yourself you become
tnr is fine its the next best thing to natural though you will hear that anyways however dreading has cudred eating disworders many times hearing those comments only makes u stronger
Hey soaringeagle, thanks so much! The reason I'm on my dread journey is because for about four years, I had a very bad eating disorder, and my hair was falling out like crazy. It was a very dark time period in my life. I've wanted dreads for awhile, and I could never seriously consider it. I've down played it a lot, but it was really bad. Now over a year into my recovery journey, and doing great, my hair is so thick and I can start! I'm very excited and very ignorant to the process, so please have patience with me. Is twist and rip awful? I want to go natural, but my parents aren't dread fans at all, so I don't want to go through hearing the months of "brush your hair, you look awful"
welcome so glad u didn't waste your money with the dreadheadhq dread kit
