maybe yu were the type to never spend a cent and it just dreaded on its own?
on average id guess at least 1/2 of you would have spent, or did spend at least 50 or more neeedlesly
imagine this
if all 5000+ members saved just 1 doar by using tnr instead of buying a 1 dolar flea comb thats 5000 dolars saved
but flea combs cost more and chances are would not be your only expense
its easy to estimate the site saved its colective membershiop 20-30 thousand or more
ofcourse still thoussands and thousands were wasted before finding us.
so why am i bringing this up?
starting today new members joining are asked to make a optional donation to join
$3 for 3 months 12 dolars a year (whats knottyboy or dreadhheadhq soap cost?)
next month after the free grace period existing members will be asked the same donation every 3 months
you have the option to refuse and set it to 0.00 or accept the 3 doars, reduce it to 1 or increae it as high as you want (within reason)
so why should you donate when youve always used it free?
you are not alone in this world, every day another dready wastes hundreds even thousands on dreads that have to be started over
we are now just behind dhhq and kb in searches but let me explaiin how google frnt page works
search term dreadlocks gets 70,000 searches a month
top position gets above 89% of all clicks
postition 2 gets about 25% of the remainder
position 3 about 18% of the remanfder of that position 410% of that remainder
we are a position 6
we get a few hundred clicks out of the 70,000
to rise to position 1 will take some investment
we can do it we have a strong base to get there since we are already competing and putting pressure on them
but to knock em out of the top positions is goig to take work money and time
what that will mean for this community?
instead of 100 joins every 10 days we'll have 1000 every 3
what will it mean to the dreadlock community?
saving dreadheads hundreds of thousands?
preventing 10,s of thousands of dreads from having to be started over
what will it take?
well we maybe able to do it if 300 -500 of you accept the $3 donation if 1000 of you did its pretty much guaranteed
so when you see that suggested donation come up next month think about either how much we saved you, or how much you wasted before you found us and realize the lil 3 dolar donation is nothing compared to what other sites and/or salons tried taking from you
ad that lil 3 dolar donation will go to helping save hujndreds even thousands of dreads from going through what you went through (or almost went through)
nobody will be upset if you dont help, but if you do its greatly appreciated, not just by me, but by us all
