All Natural after TnR

In November 2012 I did a set of TnR. I loved them but they had some problems. The sections were unnatural for my hair growth pattern and they always felt uncomfortable. I made them too big and I didn't like the stiff, twisted feeling from that method. I kept them long enough to see that most problems really will work themselves out and learned a lot along the way. But I didn't want to invest more time into dreads that weren't quite as awesome as they could be. So at 22 months I bought some detangler and a flea comb and went to town. That hurt so bad and took For. Ev. Er.

Most people think I combed them out because I didn't like them or that I got tired of them. Couldn't be further from the truth! I loved them, just not the way I did them. And I always intended to do them again.

Didn't expect the dread bug to bite again so soon though. They came out in September and some time after Valentines I put the brush away. So I'm at about six weeks now. I do a BS wash every 3-4 days and have been sleeping on a wool sweater the last few nights. I have at least 10 clear sections on the back of my head. They only work I've done is to separate a few that we're starting out way too big. These had pretty natural splits in them so I followed those. Im I worried about shrinkage this time. Last time bra length hair went above my shoulders. I cut off a lot of damage after comb-fest so I'm starting about 4" below my collar bone. I'm hoping my hair will grow enough in the next year or so to help counter act the shrink.

I'm having a fit attaching pictures so I will add them in the comments. Look past the filty mirror please! Living in a house if so much more fun than cleaning it.
