Fat ends and beads

I've been having a hard time getting any beads to go onto my dreads because my ends are a lot fatter than the rest of the dread. I believe this is because my ends looped up around and doubled up at the bottom, basically creating a big wad of knot lol. Because of this, beads are practically impossible to slide on. Anyone else have this problem? Do the ends eventually lengthen out and get thinner, or will they always be a fat knot at the end?

You can try coils or wraps.

Yeah, I have the same issue with about half my dreadies. I just wrap the ones that really bother me and it really helps straighten them out. :)

I found some beads with with bigger holes. It's hard but it can be done. You have to pull hard and twist the bead on. Be prepared to get smacked in the head or face by yourself when the bead gets past the fat bit tho. Not very graceful, but the bead is on lol

Haha I could totally see that happening and smacking myself in the face. I'll have to try that though with the beads with the bigger holes. Thanks! :)
