You can combine two thin ones, just keep in mind the 1 inch rule of thumb. But just want to point out that dreads are interesting with an assortment of thicknesses, even pencil thin.....glad to hear you took the beads out to separate them.....peace

You can let the thin ones congo, but I get the feeling your definition of thin isn't that thin lol. Just remember that they fatten up and get thicker than they are now.

I agree, it was safer to un-join these particular dreads. And I think allowing the dreads to naturally congo is best, which means not separating, and letting connecting hair do the work. But, I have seen this issue come up quite a few times and the weight is brought into question. How can a congoed dread weigh more that two, three or four single dreads? I dont think it can be possible, and the section at the scalp would be no different either, so the weight is spread over the same area as thinner dreads. Can some one explain this "theory"?
