I thought you might enjoy this little story:

My Ex (Gilly's Dad) is having a lil trouble being cool with her lumps, bumps, loops, zigzagz, varying sizes and fuzzy roots.

He stopped by the other day and we had a discussion that went like this:

Dad : "We need to talk about Gill's hair........."

Gillys Mum (aka me): "ok"

Dad : "How do you feel about bringing her to a salon to -"

Me: "no"

Dad: "But I thinkwe should bring her to a salonso- "

Me: "no"

Dad: " You didnt even let me finish!"

Me: " Unless you were about to say ' I think we should bring her to a salon to show her off', then the answer is NO"

Funny enough... He sent a friend of his over to me to ask questions about dreading lol I'm sending her here!

Yup. The daddy needs to be educated about alocepia.(sp?) and just why those bumps and squiggles are NATURALLY beautifully unique and not uniform cylinders.

Good job, mom!

I just hope the little one stands up to daddy if he tries to sneak her into a salon. Have you talked to her about why tightening locks is a bad idea? does she know?
