someone who joined the old site asked me to revue several products from each and tell him which was besti already told him none are worthwhile but he still wanted a review so, here goes.the 2 products he was interested in were the lock steady gel and accelerator (knottyboy or dhhq)so lets start with theseknottyboys locksteadyIngredients: 100% Pure Aloe Vera, Certified Organic Hemp Seed Oil, Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Hydrolyzed Oat Protein, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Lime Essential Oilnow this is possibly one of the few products that arent harmful and maybe helpful (to an extent)its certainly not needed, and u can grow your own aloe, or buy a gallon of aloe for less..but as far as these sites products its one of the least objectuionabledreadheadhq acceleratorLocking Accelerator-Sea Salt, Guanidine Carbonate, Yucca schidigerathe 2nd ingredient i had to look up this is what i found It is formed in urine as a normal product of protein metabolism in the body by the oxidation of guaninepiss wait till i revue other products of theyresso your paying for a pinch of sea salt thats got some piss by product and yuccayou could make salt water yourselfor go swim in the ocean im sure lotsa kids piss in it every dayok i covered the ones u wanted so heres more just for the hahas and shock valuelock peppa(ill do dresadheadhq 1st then knottyboy)Zinc oxide, silicone dioxide, methyl salicylate, rosin, bentonite, wintergreen mintagain stuff u gotta look up to figure out what crap u put in your hair this 1 cracks me up1st http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zinc_oxide i for the life of me cannot figure out why they put this in there at allbut moving on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silicon_dioxide sandthey are selling you sand to put in your hair.. but just wait http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methyl_salicylate a toxic substance produced by plants to kill herbivoreshmmm most dreads are vegatariansare they trying to kill ya? maybe just make u sick?moving along http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosin tree saplovely huhand http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bentonite clayso whats this sound like?yeathey are selling you dirtsand clay and organic matter (tree sap) are what youd call fertile soilthrow in a lil mint to smell nice and they sell you dirt to put in your hairdreadwaxhelps you keep that dirt trapped in your hair , and some water too so u can grow a crop of moldknottyboyi have a bit more respect for these guys, with the exception of theyere insistence on harmful waxat least theyre products do try to be more natural and make some sencethe teas might acrtualy do something good for dreadsbut at 7 dollsrs for 4 teabags your far better off going to your local herb store and mixing your own home remediesboth sites are clearly scamming those who just want to buy dreads\but at least knottyboy isnt totaly screwing youid love to revue the rest of the dhhq products but they dont list ingredients for anything but the soap the accelerator and lock peppain short though you dont \need any products at all and the best ones u can make yourself for next to nothing

I still have an old can of wax, and "dread butta" from dreadheadhq, so here's ingredient lists exactly as they appear, parenthesis and all:WAX"Ingredients: Cera Alba (beeswax) cera microcristallina (microcrystaline wax), paraffinum liquidum (mineral oil), semen-inis canabis sativa oleum (hemp seed oil), tocopherol (vitamin E), parfume (fragrance)"BUTTER"Ingredients: Theobroma cacao (cocoa) extract, mineral oil (parafinum liquidum), microcrystalline wax (cera microcristallina), theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, dimethicone, fragrance (parfum), tocopheryl acetate, benzyl alcohol, carotene (CI 40800)"Doesn't that sound delicious?Anyone care to comment or research some of these? I'm admittedly lazy, so I may or may not research them, considering I don't use these products anymore, I'm not sure it really matters to me what's in them, I just know they didn't work for me long term.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polydimethylsiloxane dimethiconelooks like at high temps its like a honey thick liquid but at normal temps becomes a solidin other words..more crap thats hard to get out without burning yourselfcera microcristallinatook some looking into but its a petroleum based waxseveral ingredients when searched brought up a site http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/splash.php?URI=%2Fingredient.php%3Fingred06%3D703957 that is a database of potentialy hazardouse ingredients in skin products i didnt join though to research what it said, but i found it interesting that several of the ingredients i was unsure of brought up this site.some of the ingredients in the butta are just harmless conditioners (cocoa butter basicly which i use at times) but then they add wax to that too? that makes no senceim not gonna bother breaking down the ingredients in the wax cause well..its wax.. the primary ingredient ..wax.. never belongs in your dreads, the vitamin e though if used without wax can be good Marianas Trench said:
