I have a plant, so what do I just pick off a piece and start putting the gel on my dreads?

I did that when I first started my old dreads. We have so many aloe plants in my house, and living in South Carolina, it's easy to find one outside. It's a good moisturizer. It acts as a conditioner. Also, it sort of wroks the way a wax would, but it doesn't ruin your hair. For my old dreads, it sort of locked them faster and it maintained all those scragley loose hairs.
