How do you decorate your dreads? Beads, cords, etc?

Currently I've got a few beads I made in my dreads , and I'm also very proud of the two actual dreads I made. I learned to felt not too long ago, so I got some colored wool and made my self a couple of felted dreads . I made sure I left a hole in the top of it so I could wrap it around an existing dreads.

If you wrap your dreads, like with cord, thread, yarn, etc, what do you use?

I had some fabric scraps wrapped around mine for a while, and they started to dread into my hair. Which was fine but boy did they smell, so I removed them.

No, I didn't dread it into my hair.

When I made the wool dread I left a loop at the top of the dread, so it almost looked like a needle. and then I threaded my hair through it, twisted the wool loop, then threaded my hair through once or twice more.

Silver wrapping? Like wrapping paper almost? COOL! And living animals? xD what on earth!? makes sense that they would want to live in there though. Thanks amazing. haha.

I'm looking for some sort of cord to wrap around my dreads. Anything you guys would recommend? Or would just about anything work?

I've got 2 wooden beads in right now, I have a load of glass, plastic and metal beads that I save for nights out lol. I don't tend to wrap any of my dreads with pieces of material for no longer than a day. Although it looks pretty I think my 2nd set of dreads are too young for it, for any long period if time, But when I do I just use these 2 pieces of brown ribbon when I do give them a quick wrap up. Almost forgot but I got some old plastic heart shaped earrings that I use to dangle from the ends of my dreads, as well as a shell and a small bell. It's well cute :D

Edit: I don't sew any materials into my dreads though :)
