Hi Dreadheads...

I'vebeen looking for a while and thought id join in on some chats if that's all ok with you guys :)

A lil about me I've beengrowingmy dreads this time round for 16ish months about shoulderlength and alldifferentshapes and thickness they are mostly all tight and "dreaded" but im getting a lot of loose hair round the roots and some of the dreads are growing loose strands out of them, i've hardly done much to them but ive lately been using acrochet hook for about 6months to make them look tidy for work as in my job i meet lots of people and i think they should look "tidy"....

So what I'm trying to get out is what should i do I've been reading that i should stop using thecrochet hook as is just damaging my dreads and i can see why never look "tidy" for long last about a week before they need redoing....

Right I'm going in to a rant now....

Look forward to yourreply's

Dan

well as u can see they are needing constant repair cause your breaking every hair in them

those hairs pop out and have to vbe redone

so your causing the issue u try ti fix

but u have wax in them too wax will make them riot and smell of mold

how tidy is that

now no job requires dreads to be tidy thats illegal in fact u have 1 legal deffebcwe for dreads..the spiritual nature of dreading but to be spiritual they must be natural and unmaintained

by making them tidy you say thay are nothing but a style so u wont care if they say cut them

I would care if i was told to cut them and i wont be. So i should just leave them to grow how they want to be and not touch them?

you should remove the wax [if you used even once you have to remove it because it never washes out of hair with washing], then stop messing with your dreads... it will take a time, but they will repair itself alone.

they send their products worlwide... and you can get some shampoos from them too [they are pretty good and really help your hair to lock up faster]
