Why do beads help the dreading process? I have like six beads in the hair now and I'm wondering how they help. Any input is greatlyappreciated. Happy 44th day of not doing shit to my hair and many more days to follow.

It helps hold the hair together so that knot can form in the section. Your hair looks quite fine and it's still early days. You will see progress eventually.

Oh okay I have been putting them over the knots to try and contain it, but I suppose it is the same thing. It's crazy how far my hair has came in just a matter of days.

They also act like imitation knots that promote more knotting
