Well... If you don't want to go the full neglect method you'll have to TnR them again. You can do it to just the ones that came out fully and then put beads on them. I'd leave the other ones alone and see what happens. But In reality, if you want them to look even, just tnr them a few at a time over the course of days. That way it wont take up a lot of time and you wont get sick of it. And any beads will work. You don't need to use glass beads that aresupposedly "dread beads". Any art beads will work the same. Then you can paint or draw whatever you want on them

just leave em be

crochet hooks may keep them looking tidy, but really they are just breaking your hair into little pieces of hair that weaken your locks. You need that long strand to hold the rest of the lock together. Plus, weakening the lock will end up causing it to break probably break off at that point in the future.
It might look tidy, but why jeopardize the integrity of you lock for a short term fix? If you leave them alone they'll clean themselves up by themselves. There's no reason to hurt your hair. If you are allowed to have locks at your job, it won't matter what they look like

actualy the crochet hook would set progress back by 6 months tioo and as they recover they get even more loose hairs then if u go natural
its just a bad idea all the way around
if you dont want to suffer the recovery you become a slave to it and have to crochet every few weeks and that makes them weaker and weaker

AT five days, they shouldn't even be capable of being crocheted. If they are still coming out, then they just need to be tnr'ed again. I'd advise against it for similar reasons. Once you start the process and get the sections separated, there's not really any reason to keep it up. 5 days in and annoyed by frizz? Wait till you see what 4 months look like. Mine looked awful for a full year. It takes time. get some beads and use them to control your hair. there's no need to do maintenance for a hair style that is supposed to maintain itself
