Separating my dreads?

Am I suppose to be separating my dreads everyday? Is it ok that I cut two of my dreads, because they were joining? I also used BS and sea salt with some drops of Tea tree oil in a gallon of distilled water, I didn't see much of a difference? I used about a 1/4 cup of BS and a palm full of sea salt. Should I use more to see a difference? I left it in for 15 min before I rinsed. Half of the week I sleep with tam hat is this also ok?, and I put it up in a pony tail during the day. Oh and they are 2 months old. Ok I think I'm done with my many questions

let them down more often thats why you have to seperate so much the more they are bound together the more they want to be 1 huge dreaddont sleep in a tamdont out em uop asll daydont cut unless u realllly have to
