so jenni helloworld and i have been working on an editing project designed to increase our search engine ranking
and
drum roll please
for the search term " dreadloclks " we rose above knottyboy for the 1st time! and we are just below dreadheadhq
for the search term " dreads " we rose from posittion 10-12 where we normaly were up to position 6 or 7
this has meant a good bit more search engine rtraffic
but we got a long way to go
the top posittion gers 40% of all clicks position 2 18%
3 15%
4 12%
5 10%
6 9% this is what we were getting before
so we were getting a few hundred 650-750 out of 75,000
if dreadlocks reaches possition 3 and dreads 5 we'll have alot more traffic
we wil l unseat both of the "big boys on the block"
so the editing project i would love a couple more ppl to help out with
whats involved?
google "dreads site: www.dreadlockssite.com or dreadlocks site: www.dreadlockssite.vcom randomly pick pages indexed by google and edit the 1st 2 instances of dreadlocks and dreads making them links to the front page
we maybe did a couple hundred and had drastic results
doing a few thousand will get us to that number 1 spot in no time
anyo e want to help? volunteer for 1 day?
other projects the dating site will be going through a slightly complicated upgrade tomoro (hope i dont screw it up lol) there will be new themes new features making it lil more sophisticated
i'll also be doing work on that tio try getting it to do better in searches
other project
kafka has been working on a dreading manyual editing it for a couple months now
the rough drafts attached
we need notes on improvemnts and edits before adding a table of contnts and converting to a downloadable pdf
this manual then will be added to the top of the page for download as well as put out in the wild on file share services torrent sites etc with links to here
so lets celebrate we are making great progress
lets see if we cant knock down dreadheadhq tomorow!
