Man I kinda wish I used the twist amd rip method instead of the backcombing, I know my dreads will eventually get there but ive seen some pics comaparing the two and to me the twist and rip look a lot better and fatter.

I personally didn't like the t&r method. My dread never stayed nor locked. As messy as backcombing can look, i prefer backcombing. Au natural forming I have not tried yet other then back combing and leaving it.

tnr is way less damaging as well and saphire typicaly the opposites true backcomb falls apart more often tnr usualy hold together better
but either 1 can losen and fall apart and it dont matter if it faklls apart it still will dread just fine
