HELP!!! Swimmer with dreads!!

So I'm James and I'm new to dreadlocksite. I swim on a high school team. Is it bad if I swim with dreadlocks? If it is I will have to give up on my my team mates or shave my head....which would you choose?

Hm, well swimming with dreads can be heavy and slow you down, so it is a little handicap so to speak.

swimming with dreads is fine. Get them wet before swimming and rinse afterwards. You could even get an extra large head condom (swim cap), but that might be worse and pull on your hairs.
