washing with tea.

so guys, i have a friend who just had her sister crotchet her dreads for her yesterday. she tells me she's going to wash her hair with tea. is this a good idea?? :S

some people soak their hair in herbal teas. there are properties in herbs that are beneficial to hair. An example is making a tea by brewing rosemary in water.It makes a rinse that can darken hair. But I have never heard of anyone actually cleansing hair just with tea rinses.

Peppermint tea might be refreshing in a spray bottle in the refridgerator for the itches. Can't say I've tried it but I might
