it straightens my hair and unlocks my dreads... i have to say that it does un-flatten them (flat from wearing a hat, i think).

i only palm rolled my dreads the first month about after backcombing, i did experience some breakage of loose hairs but i dont consider this a bad thing cus they like hook into the dread better. A;so the ones that ipalmrolled are the most lockednow.

Palmrolling can cause damage if done too often like any other maintenance method.

Don't do it too much and you'll be alrite.

i retract my statement about palmrolling my hair and how my hair reacts to it.palmrolling now does wonders for my new locks. sometimes i do s pinch, roll and twist type of thing with my fingers. it seems to work nicely for thinner locks.

I palmroll when I'm bored-- it totally makes a difference! I haven't noticed much damage, but I have wicked bad split ends, so my hair's already kinda damaged I guess.....I roll them before putting on new beads too-- feel like it helps me slip them on better.
