I was wondering if using a hair dryer and shaking my hair dry would be harmful or undo any progress? im scared of using a towel to hard just incase i loosen up any knots/matts

Thanks for the help

Hair dryer can be very damaging in my experience. I would just wrap them with a towel and leave em for about 10 min or so . And them let air dry. I like to cleanse my dreads earlier in the day so that they will dry before bedtime.

if u wud lose ur progress? by shakin or watever ? depends on how long ur hair is i think cuz when my hair was like 6 inches it always came undone when i hooped or jogged but now that my hairs longer i think it does no harm it probably even tightins em more considering thats how dreads mature anyways they wud never mature if ur hair stood perfectly still lol i think maybe im wrong .. and a dryer is bad for ur hair cuz the heat makes hair split that i know plus it blows the baby dreads apart by the air blowin O _o jus soak water wit a towell or shake a lil bit an let em dry :) b blessssssssssed :)

I've had my dreads over 8 years now and I've dried my hair with a hair dryer almost just as long. In the summer time its easy to let it air dry but when its winter and its cold out its not good to go outside with them wet, mine have actually froze before and when I'd whack them against something it would sound like a rock. That's my experience though, I guess it depends on your hair type cause everyones dreads differently.
