sometimes my dreads get in my face a bunch and make my nose itch. i would pull my hair into a ponytail but my hair in the front isnt long enough yet so it still gets in my face. any ideas or methods would be helpful.

Cut off t-shirt sleeves work great for keepin shorter locks outta the way!
Yep what NW said and scarves are great too, wrap em on like a head band.
at work this was a pain in the butt for me to,If they are barely long enough you can try to tuck the front locks underneath and around the locks that are being pulled back successfully by your pony tail, other than that I had to use two hair bands to pull my hair back w/o it looking silly. (actually three but ive since managed to get it down to just having to use one.
