It will dread
I have similar issues...thin oily hair. All I've done for 2 months is sleep on a wool sweater and my roots have gone from looking just like yours to being locked all the way to about an inch from the scalp ... I used the sea salt spray regularly for the first month too and I think that it did help a lot :D
leave it be
dont wash daily that makes u oily every other day then ebery 3 wash with baking soda that cleansds oils without stripping
and spray the scalp with thyme tea leave it on spray the hair but not tje scalp with sea salt 2 hours b4 u wash
and
just give em time they will loosen up and do exactly what theyre doing b4 they get better
relax dont wottu dont bother wool rubbing instead tbrow on a wool tam and go play instead
hey paula, if you would be so kind as to give me some advice on the salt water. what measurments should I use, and when I apply it how long can it stay on? can I put it on at like 8 o'clock PM and wash my hair the next day at 11 AM, or is that too long?
sea salt spray should be about a tablespoon per spray bottle the size of a regular water bottle. I havent used it in a while but when I did, I would spray right after I wash. Then let it dry and it wouldn't be removed till my next wash(1-2 days). Though for some prefer to spray it on 1-2 hours before washing the dreads.
And you want to try to spray only on the dreads and avoid the scalp as much as possible or it can get too dry and itchy, or get irritated by the salt.

Why do you have to wash every day?

I play football (soccer if you're American) up to 5 nights a week, and the other nights I run, swim or lift. I'll spare you the details, but I sweat a LOT, especially when I play soccer, necessitating daily bathing
