Finally committing to freeform journey

Hey, my name is Ezequiel. I'm 18 years old and I've recently started my freeform journey after fantasizing and reading about it for some months now. I'm still very early in the process ( today marks the sixth day! ) but I figured I might as well show off what I got going. I started off with an afro (picked out my hair to rid myself of previous self made artificial curls that just weren't cutting it) and have developed more and more curls with each passing day. Today I performed what I would consider my first "successful" wash, complete with minimal scrubbing on only the scalp and then a pleasant sun + air drying session outside. Tell me what you think!

Note: I did not dry my head with the towel. All I did was gently shake my hair then sit in the sun, the towel was only used to wipe my face.

Thanks! I'm pretty stoked to see this much progress in only six days but at the same time I have to keep reminding myself that this is going to be a long journey still. But, I have a question if you don't mind. Part of my work uniform involves a hat (which I wear very very loosely) and I've heard that this, if anything, will only make the dreads a bit flatter? It won't hinder my progress by any significant amount right? I also tilt the hat up so that it rests on my head on an angle to further avoid any possible hair manipulation.

depends ..for some ..yes very very much.. for you however it might not... but the dreads may form to the shape of the hat

your boss might make an exception if he was aware that would be the end result

Thanks! It's gotten even better in my opinion. I already see a congo forming and the curls have gotten thicker overall.
