Sectioning...... HELP

Some of my dreads are locking in the center of the hair before the root.. especially after separatingthem today.. there all different lengths. there's only like 2 or 3 that aren't locked at all near my scalp but definitely loopy & lumpy dreads more in the center & at the bottom of my hair.. If i just keep separating them it will naturally lock up there by the root.... right? HELP

thanks hahah... i only have 1 beaver tail left akak mud flap hahaha i'm gonna have to cut... i'm just still so surprised how quickly my hair locked up like this... NEW PICS TOMORROW!!!

Why are you cutting your beaver tail? Are we supposed to? I thought they eventually pulled in tighter...my head is full of them.
