Welcome. Wax is the second worse thing that can be done to locks. It does nothing but hurts them. You're not alone. Have you do wax removal sessions? It's a hydrocarbon and will NEVER wash out in normal soap and water. You need a detergent and lots of scrubbing multiple times a week for at least a month to get rid of it. Sounds like you're on the right track now

Right now it doesn't make much of a difference because you are only a few weeks in, but you should never go to sleep with wet dreads. It encourages mold and mildew. Which smells terrible, but can also cause dread rot. So as your dreads start thickening up....keep in mind that dreads should not be pulled up when wet, no hats when wet and don't sleep with them wet. Just some words of wisdom so that you don't have to go through it :) Have a beautiful day.

Just sprayed with sea salt and let sit for 15 min then washed with bs and towel dried it the air dried over night got up the next morning put my hair in a bun for work and whe. I got home I took my hair out and it was so soft and curly for the first time. Can't wait to shower it again lol
