salons do not know what they are doing they default to the most harmful methods if u only knew the salon horrofr stories..look around here over 1300 members 3 went to salons all 3 regretted it forever

welcomeyou DO NOT want a salon./..all salons are disasters.. do them yourelf its so ewasyif u go to a salon theres a 98% chance u will just waste money have to start over a week later..and theres a 50% chance they do permenant damage

ya i totally understand where you're coming from. When i first fantasized about my dreads i alwasy imagined id go get them backcombed by a professional and I'd be using wax and everything.Little did i know that I would be twisting and ripping without any products at all, almost going all natural now. But I guess it doesn't really matter how its done, its just how it makes you feel =]

welcome dont worry backcombings not a horible way to dread..not the best ofcourse and yea it does do permenant harm but only on the microscopic level it does make it more easily harmed further tho but i wouldnt worry yoir dreads will be fine just keep em healthy and happy from here on out
