Welcome. Palm rolling does only 1 of 2 things. If you don't do it much, it does nothing to create lasting knots. It only neatens them up for a few hours. If you do it enough to see progress, it will severely damage the roots, and can be destructive enough to cause them to fall out in time. I palm rolled daily for the first 2 weeks, and 7 years later, I am still trying to fix the damage
