I hear you. And I don't disagree 100% The only thing is that oily hair is a symptom of your scalp and hair being too acidic. While Dawn will be great for getting the oil out, it won't help balance the pH of your scalp. To do that, you'd need a soap that is more alkaline. Baking Soda would be best for this. Because of the condition, you don't even need to rinse with the ACV. At least not for a while. Just the BS mix will help balance your head and help prevent it from getting oily again and again.

That's my recommendation. I can't, nor would I force you to do anything you didn't want. But as hair care goes, Dawn will only keep the oiliness going on forever. By stripping the oils away, your scalp tries to compensate by producing more. But if you made your scalp more basic, it wouldn't need to produce those extra oils

Welcome. Dawn is a detergent. It will strip the oils away, but it also tends to undo knots. You need something that will help promote knotting, and leaves healthy oils that are naturally produced stay balanced. Stripping them away too often will dry out your scalp and cause dandruff
