i think you sections and sizing look pretty good. if you want to split some, i'd wait a few weeksand see which dreads are resistingdreading together (you can tell when they want to be made into 2, a gap will form in the middle of your section and it will kinda start to dread into seperate dreads). then to get them out i wouldn't rip them apart since they are still baby dreads, i'm pretty sure that would just cause the dread to fall apart. i'd soak them in olive oil and conditioner and slowly and gently brush it out....
wait did you do tnr?? if you did, you should be able to start from the bottom and use your fingertips to undo it, but since you did a little crotcheting you might need to bust out a brush and some conditioner. i'd probably leave them though.

should i split a few of them? which ones? and how do i go about splitting them? just rip and palm roll?
if you leave them aloneso they can dread up how they're supposed to,they are going to look NOTHING like they do now in a month.don't waste your energy. they are going to get loopy and weird and crazy! and the crazier they get, the fuller they are going to be, the less scalp you'll have showing, the thicker your dreads will be.... it's a good thing, hard to grasp from the beginning, i know, but you really end up having a good time with the process if you just accept it and know that it is exactly what should happen.
and alsoknow that they can look loopy, crazy, messy, weird,AND like amazing dreadsall at the same time.

thankkk youuu so much! that really helps. i had to take them out last time so now this time im freeking the fuck out! i dont want to lose them so i over obsess and i never leave them alone. im trying to get a basic shape so that i can have them nice and ready so i can leave them be.
usually when people do a lot of root maintanence you can see their"dread grid" and some scalpiness. i would just leave them completely alone. when you have a half an inch to an inch of hair that isn't completely matted at the rootthe loose hairs fill in all the spaces. it looks much nicer and fuller, in my opinion. if you dreads are new it will just take a little while for them to grow out of the grid phase.

it looks that bad partially because i died it and the roots bleached... and the dreads did not. so ... and the other half is that i have bad luck with dreading the back of my head... and with my roots... and with everything... i suck at this :[
