Starting my Organic dreads
Today is the first day of my organic dreads i am pretty excited about this my hair forms knots pretty fast so I am hoping it will form dreads pretty quick. My husband was not sure are first for the natural dreads but as he thought about it that would be easy to do instead of him having to help me do the dreads so I am pretty happy with the dread idea. I will up date in a couple of months when things have started to take a dread turn lol
My husband didnt like the idea at all but I did them anyways he was always making comments like your mom does and never had anything nice to say about them no matter how much I told him I loved them and they made me so happy and feel so good about myself. I didnt give up though and didnt let his nasty comments get to me, anyways I am now 3 months in and he's finally starting to get used to them (YAY!!!) and the comments have stopped, he has even given me a couple compliments =) Just give it time, she'll come around. Hope you enjoy your journey
they are organic as i call them because i am not using any wax or any thing i am just letting them form on there own and not brushing my hair for a while.
i am glad he is on board with the natural dreads just need to get my mom on board all she can keep saying is they will look nasty and u cant wash them and you will look like s*** and i need a link or something to send her to keep her from screaming at me lol
On day 6 of my journey. Looking very crazy today. My husband still isn't on board, however my teenage kids think I'm a super "cool" mom for doing it.
