Welcome. But latch hooking your hair ill only cause more harm than good. First it breaks hairs which makes your locks weak. Second, you are poking holes through something that should never have hole poked in it. That will make them weak too. Third, if you are doing anything to your roots, you are seriously shortening the length of time you will have locks. When you tighten the hairs at the roots you are making the roots thinner and weaker as the lock itself gets fatter and heavier. See were I'm going with this? In time, you won't have a strong enough root to support the lock itself. They can fall out, or get ripped off much easier
Thanks Jacquie! I will definitely get some Shea Butter and give it a try - and i'm learning about patience ater 3 months of trying to get dreads FAST im back where I started but lesson learned...patience is the key! Thanks again x
Welcome. But once you twist once, you should never do it again. Twisting for maintenance will only destroy your locks and cause a condition called traction alopecia, which pulls your hair out of your scalp and will make you go bald.
