Hello and welcome...this site is very helpful and informative. You can pick and choose what works for you. II definitely agree that using beeswax is not a good idea. It does not come out of your hair easily. All it does s is stick your hair together and the hair generally breaks apart so you have to start all over again. I ended uup cutting off some of the lengths of my locs from the older growth that had beeswax and letting them form naturally. It's the best decision I ever made. I prefer to use the bs wash, add some essential oils, and occasionally salt to help tighten. When time doesn't permit, I use Dr. Bohner's peppermint soap in a watered down mix. That's it and my locs are soft and smell great.

welcome but u should never twist and never use wax!

facts

wax prevents locking it just glues hair together then hardens traping dirt and water and causing mold

wax never melts out what u put in is in forever if u dint use something like wax b gone

twisting causes traction alopecua the scalp showing look is a medical condition that will cause thinning roots widening gaps dreads breaking and widespread balding

stop twisting and get the wax b gone

use wax b gone many times after your convinced the wax is gone its evil stuff thats very hard to remove
