typicaly it takes 6 months to recover from 1 crochet use if it was tight

if it wasnt tight might not be so bad

Welcome. Like Eagle said, crocheting is one of the most damaging things that can be done to locks. Unfortunately, it's also one of the most common practices now. More and more people are posting video and blogs about how to do it, which makes new comers think it's the only method. But these posts are lying to you. Hair won't lock up well if crocheted. And it will get stiff, and hard. Locks should be soft and spongy, even when completely mature.

welcome but the crochet was a huge mistake!

do it just once and it delays any dreading by 6 months and can take up to a year to lose the harsh crochet look and stiffness

do it alot and it causes severe harm weakened even broken dreads

crochet hooks are dread abuse throw it in the trash and check out the crochet recovery sections
