What band got you into Metal?

First, I used to like 90s Metallica and had no idea they made albums in the 80s. Then one day, I discovered the song "Fade To Black". I just wondered "Why haven't they made more songs like this?" So, I did some research and found old Metallica.Then, in late 2007, I discovered Extreme Metal. My cable service comes with these radio stations on the TV and they had a Metal channel on it. I was just listening to it one day when "Take This Life" by In Flames came on. I started listening to it like nothing special, as I thought "Eh, pretty good metalcore" (LOL I was way off with the genre). When the chorus came in, I was blown away. I have never heard guitar harmonies or a chorus like that before. Coincidentally, I discovered Children Of Bodom the same week.
