they tighten up on their own just to a certain point...for a reason any tighter and it puts tension on the roots wich stops the bloodflow to the folicule killing it causing traction alopecia and balding
the roots need nothing but seperation when they try to join togethewr
anything at all that you do to the roots is harmful

it looks like you already uploaded 12 photos here wich is slightly diferent from the new site cause thast has multiple galeries to choose from

Welcome. Eagle's right. Palm rolling vigorously can do serious harm to locks. They look great, though
welcome you and your dreads are very pretty but wouldnt bother palm rolling it does nothing helpful but can be harmful
