Welcome to the community Anceimo. Hope your journey is going great for you. I notice you life in an area with hard water. Unfortunately, just like me, the hard water affects many shampoos and does not work properly with baking soda (BS). Purchase some water from the grocery store in a large bottle, I use water cooler size, and use 5 cups water from that to mix your 1/2 cup BS into. I hope you are following up with an spple cider vinegar (ACV) rinse, unless you have an extremely oily scalp as the BS dries out the hair over time if not followed by it. Mix 1 capful of ACV to 5 cups tap water and pour over head, rinse out within one minute so you don't over condition...it will balance back the hair & scalps PH balance. Enjoy your journey...Peace
Welcome. While Dr. B's has become the main soap for dreadlocks, it's not well known that castile soaps don't work well in hard water. They don't rinse out enough, and leave tons of residues. It can take a while to see the residue show up, though
