My hair is naturally wavy, more like straight, and I can't keep my self from playing with it and brushing through it. I think instead of just letting my hair go completely I should just let a section dread on its own. Would that work?
Welcome. The natural method is the healthiest. You don't have to do any damaging maintenance to your hair. Just washing it and letting it dry is all you need.
the more maintenence you do the more harms done to the haor
its really rewarding as well to be able to just let go and let it happen you will fall in love with the process

I want to do it naturally, but I'm not completely sure about it yet. I've had bad experience with my hair before, so I'm overly protective about maintaining it and stuff. I'm not sure I could just leave it be..
Oh, your starting to neglect. Good choice
What method, Amanda?
Starting my dreads tonight! I'm excited :D
